O.M.G... F.T.L.!

It's here! It's finally here... As a backer of the FTL Kickstarter campaign (but one too stingy to pay more for the early Beta!) I've just been informed that I have been given a beta key. It is downloading NOW.

It's too much... I don't deserve to be so happy!

FTL is my most anticipated game of the year. I played the On-live demo repeatedly from the moment it was available to the moment it was removed, and morned it's passing as well. When the Kickstarter campaign arrived it was an insta purchase. I wanted this game so much i was willing to pay in advance to make it happen and apparently so were many other people.


I'm a bit suspicious of Kickstarter, I think its a great idea but, like all good ideas, it is going to start getting abused pretty soon. The games industry has taken to the site really quickly, probably because of the nature of gamers. Minecraft proved we as a community are willing to put money behind potential when we see it and if we think we are getting a good deal. My only worry is, how many burns does it take before we become cautious of investment.

For now I get to play FTL as soon as I have finished typing because I was able to pay to make it happen. I am so happy. Wedding day... pfft. This is the greatest day ever!
