There he is, one of Joe’s nemesis, just sat in a graveyard, as you do, reading a book. It doesn't matter that it is dark by this point and he probably can’t read the words, because this is Shan Feldman. He doesn’t need light to read, because, frankly, he is freaky as hell!
He is just sitting there, in a graveyard… reading… that is weird right? Then it hits me, I’ve just sent Joe to the graveyard in the middle of the night to collect things, maybe he is not as weird as I think and it's just me over reacting? Turns out… no, he is just weird.

That just won't do his eyes any good!
I make Joe spy on Shan, this is payback after all, I’m hoping Joe can follow him home and then achieve the ultimate revenge! Trample on his plants - regular readers of Joe’s story will know that this has been an aim of mine for a while, well now we are so close! However, as far as I know, the Sims doesn't allow the mindless trampling of plants, adultery yes, plant trampling NO! So the trampling will be purely symbolic, but I feel it is the kind of revenge Joe would like. To him there is nothing more precious than a garden.
So Joe waits… and waits… and waits. Shan just keeps reading. Joe quickly gets bored and keeps trying to go off and do other things, he has no sticking power. So I send him collecting all the stuff that we came to the graveyard for. It feels wrong collecting in the cemetery, it's kind of like stealing... from the dead, which is definitely the worst kind of theft. But me and Joe need it more! So I cling to the hope that it is justified. Even when Joe is finished, Shan is still just sat on his bench, reading his book. I take a look at the title ‘White Flag of Victory’, I make a note to find out what the book is about at some point.

After Joe's experiences in the catacombs i shudder to think what the part time job involves
By this point I am starting to get bored of waiting so I have a little scout around the cemetery. It doesn’t take long to discover that the mausoleum can be explored. Well that is just a 'have to' isn’t it. Doesn’t matter that it’s dark and gloomy, mausoleums just have to be explored, every horror movie ever made has taught us this undeniable fact. Joe, bravely, boldly pushes open the heavy stone door and enters the catacombs.
As soon as the door slams shut behind him the creepy noises start, moaning and groaning, banging and clacking, whispers and screams. Maybe this wasn’t the best idea. Joe is out of my direct control, and it is a little unsettling. Messages keep appearing, updating me on his progress. Occasionally I have to make a choice on his behalf (he cant do anything himself) like whether he should take the left or the right path. Swim across and lake or follow an underground stream. Sometimes he finds useful objects, a small ruby, a chunk of silver. However after three hours below the surface he suddenly reappears.

Why would i want to share that memory!?
A message reads. ‘Joe has been mauled by a bear’… wait, what? His hair is in disarray, as if he has spent the last three hours doing nothing but rub a balloon against his head, his clothes are torn to shreds and he is covered in black stuff. I have no idea what the black stuff is. It is now past 1am, Joe is exhausted and scared to enter the catacombs ever again what with having been mauled by a bear and everything. Why is there a bear down there anyway!?! I do not get this game sometimes!

What is that black stuff...? What exactly did the bear do to him...?
And Shan? He is still reading... in the dark... past 1am... in a cemetery… fine. Maybe its time for Joe to go to bed.
